How Pay it Today uses cookies and similar technologies, in compliance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL deliberation 2020-091.

1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the Pay it Today website and applications. It supplements the Privacy Policy, accessible at /legal/privacy, and applies to all visitors and users of the Services.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file deposited on your terminal (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website or use a mobile application. It is read by the website or application during subsequent visits and allows it to recognise the terminal, to memorise preferences and to measure audience. The term "cookie" used in this Policy also covers similar technologies (local storage, IndexedDB, software development kits, pixels).
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the operation of the Services and may not be disabled. They include in particular the session cookie issued by our authentication service after a successful login, the CSRF anti-forgery cookie, the cookie storing the chosen language (NEXT_LOCALE), and the cookie storing the chosen theme. They are deposited on the basis of the exemption provided for in Article 82 paragraph 2 of the French Data Protection Act for cookies whose sole purpose is to enable or facilitate electronic communication.
4. Functional cookies
These cookies improve the user experience without being indispensable: for instance, memorising the last account viewed, the last screen displayed, or the layout choices of the dashboard. They are deposited only after your consent and may be disabled at any time from the in-app preferences screen.
5. Audience-measurement cookies
We use a privacy-preserving audience-measurement solution to understand how the Services are used (most visited pages, navigation paths, error rates). The configuration of the tool complies with CNIL deliberation 2020-091 - IP truncation, no cross-site tracking, retention limited to thirteen (13) months - and benefits from the consent exemption foreseen by the CNIL. If, in the future, we adopt an analytics tool that does not satisfy these conditions, an opt-in consent banner will be displayed beforehand.
6. No advertising cookies
Pay it Today does not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, social-network share buttons that drop third-party cookies, or any cross-site tracker. No data are sold or shared with advertising networks.
7. Managing your preferences
You may, at any time, modify your cookie choices from the in-app "Cookies" preferences screen, accessible from the bottom of any page. You may also configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is deposited; refusing strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Services from functioning correctly.
8. Third-party cookies
Certain features may rely on third-party services (for example, the Ubble identity-verification iframe at on-boarding). These services may deposit their own cookies, governed by their own privacy and cookie policies, which we invite you to consult. We carefully select these providers and contractually bind them by data-protection clauses compliant with the GDPR.
9. Retention
Strictly necessary session cookies are deleted at the end of the session. Preference cookies (language, theme) are retained for thirteen (13) months. Audience-measurement cookies and the data they generate are retained for a maximum of thirteen (13) months, in compliance with CNIL deliberation 2020-091.
10. Your rights
The rights set out in the Privacy Policy (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) apply equally to data collected by cookies. They may be exercised by contacting our DPO at dpo@payittoday.fr. You also retain the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
11. Updates
We may amend the present Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the regulations, in the Services or in the cookies used. Substantial changes are notified inside the application. The current version is permanently accessible at /legal/cookies.
